Clifton Budd & DeMaria, LLP is pleased to announce that Carla B. Gunther has become a Partner of the firm, effective January 1, 2022. Ms. Gunther joined the firm in 2015 and spent brief periods as an Associate and then Counsel. Ms. Gunther provides strategic advice and counsel to employers on workplace management and labor and employee relations matters. She has extensive experience in traditional labor law, and negotiates collective bargaining agreements, counsels employers on union-related matters and day-to-day contract administration and employment issues, and defends employers in grievance, arbitration and unfair labor practice proceedings.

 

Ms. Gunther also represents clients in court and before administrative agencies, including federal, state, and local human rights agencies. Ms. Gunther prepares employment policies, conducts workplace investigations, and trains employers on compliance with labor and employment laws. 

 

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gunther served as an in-house attorney for a national association of construction-industry employers. There, she served as labor and employment counsel to the association and its members.
