Robert A. Sparer is a Partner at Clifton Budd & DeMaria, LLP,
practicing management-side labor and employment law. Mr. Sparer
represents clients in a wide range of industries with a substantial
focus on the representation of owners, developers and managers
of commercial and residential real estate in the greater New
York Area. Mr. Sparer counsels and represents clients in connection
with union negotiations, arbitrations and related matters, employment
and discrimination litigation before administrative agencies
and in court, acquisitions and sales of businesses and operational
and day-to-day human resources issues.
Noteworthy cases Mr. Sparer has handled include
Malone v. AFSC, a multiple plaintiff employment discrimination
case; Vargas v. 2727 Realty, LLC a hybrid LMRA §301 action;
and Bolin v. Harvard, a retaliation jury trial. Prior to joining
Clifton Budd & DeMaria, LLP, Mr. Sparer served as associate
with the law firms of Gallagher, Gosseen & Faller and also Jaspan,
Ginsberg, Ehrlich, Reich & Levin.
Mr. Sparer received his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law where he was the associate editor of the Hofstra Labor Law Journal. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Albany, graduating cum laude.
Mr. Sparer is a member of the New York State Bar
Association, of the NYSBA Labor and Employment Law Section,
and also the American Bar Association. He was admitted to practice
by the State of New York, the District Courts of Southern and
Eastern Districts of New York, the Second and Seventh Circuit
Courts of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States.
