Kristin M. Burke functions as Partner with Clifton Budd & DeMaria, LLP. Ms. Burke has developed extensive experience in the fields of employment and labor law for both private and public sector clients. In addition to handling many employment law and constitutional law litigation matters in federal and state court, Ms. Burke has been active on behalf of clients in labor arbitration proceedings and administrative proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, the New York Public Employment Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor, and many human rights and other administrative agencies in both New York and other states.
While working with clients to adopt strategies and policies to prevent employment and labor law disputes, Ms. Burke also has developed an area of practice involving preventative advice and has conducted seminars and training sessions for a variety of employers.
Ms. Burke received her Juris Doctor from the Suffolk University Law School and her Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross.
Ms. Burke is a member of both the American and New York Bar Associations in the Labor and Employment Law Section. She is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts, the U.S. District Courts in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Outside of the firm, she is a board member of the Putnam Family and Community Services, a not-for-profit organization that provides county-wide mental health services.
