DANIEL C. MORELAND has been associated with Clifton Budd & DeMaria, LLP, since 1995. He has concentrated on the representation of management in the myriad areas of employment and labor law. Mr. Moreland often litigates in various federal and state courts, including at the appellate level, as well as proceedings before government administrative agencies and in labor arbitrations. Mr. Moreland has been successful on summary judgment and at trial on behalf of management clients in federal and state court litigation of employment matters claiming employment discrimination, harassment, improper payment of wages and breach of contract. Furthermore, Mr. Moreland has prevailed before federal, state and local agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, the New York City Commission on Human Rights and the National Labor Relations Board. Mr. Moreland's devotes a substantial portion of his practice to advising management in employment and labor matters, including civil rights, wage and hour issues, employment contracts, restrictive covenants and the many other issues that arise in the course of both unionized and non-union employment relationships.

Mr. Moreland has conducted training sessions in every aspect of labor and employment law, including sexual harassment, union-avoidance, disability accommodation and discrimination and frequently presents lectures on employment law to Human Resource organizations. Mr. Moreland has also worked with clients to develop and refine employment practices and procedures, such as employment handbooks and employment applications, to comply with local, state and federal labor and employment law.
